Announcify now supports dark mode and light mode changelog widgets

we just rolled out a new update for the announcify widget. you can now completely match your release notes to your website's ui with our new theme options.

when embedding a product changelog, you want it to look like a native part of your app. to make this simple, we added four new display settings for the widget:

• light mode: keeps the widget locked to a bright, clean layout.

• dark mode: locks the widget to a dark theme for a better low-light reading experience.

• detect automatically: lets the widget check the system preferences of your site visitors so it switches on its own.

• manual api: syncs the widget directly with your app's custom theme toggle using our developer api.

keeping your users updated on your latest features shouldn't mean compromising your site design. whether your users prefer browsing in dark or light mode, your software updates will look like they belong there.

head into your announcify dashboard to configure the new theme settings and update your widget.

We expanded Announcify with GitHub-powered changelog creation and smarter webhook controls to save you time and keep releases accurate.

• GitHub as a changelog source automatically fetches commits and pull requests, so your notes stay current without manual updates.

• AI-powered content generation turns those changes into clear, publish-ready release notes you can tweak before publishing.

• New management UI lets you review, edit, and publish changelogs all in one place.

• Webhook controls give you configurable trigger modes so you decide when notes are generated.

• Branch filtering and ignore patterns ensure only relevant events are included in your release notes.

We added RSS feed support and metadata for project changelogs, making it easier to stay updated and organized. We also removed a redundant container shadow to streamline visuals.

Since Linear issues often contain internal details, sensitive data (emails, phone numbers, financial figures) is automatically redacted before anything is sent to AI. Nothing gets published without your review first.
